Australia’s Premier 2014
National Rodeo Finals (NRF)


7th-8th November, Dalby QLD

Showcasing some of the best rodeo riders in Australia vying for the national finals' title and buckle in an exhilarating show of determination and strength, the 2014 National Rodeo Finals will take place 7th-8th November at the Dalby Showgrounds Nicholson Street,  Dalby QLD. 


The National Rodeo Council, who made the announcement, said following on from the success of last year's event, this year’s Finals are set to exceed expectations, with a number of new additions and some exciting trade stands on display.


“We are pleased to be bringing back our National Finals event to Dalby after the huge success of last year's Finals, our first in this region (and 12th finals held overall). We are looking forward to showcasing the best of the best rodeo riders from around the country to the fans and spectators, with an action-packed  show planned,” noted National Rodeo Council of Australia Chairman (NRCA),  Pat Staines.


The event, which will comprise of competitors from around the country competing for the prestigious National title and buckle will include the following events in the weekend lineup; Open Bull Ride, Open Saddle Bronc Ride, Open Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Open Team Roping, Rope & Tie, Ladies Barrel Race, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Junior Bull Ride, Junior Bareback Ride, Junior Breakaway Roping and Junior Barrel Race.

“In conjunction with the rodeo event, there will also be the return of the Colt Starting Championship that will include the three-day staging of the The Unique Horseman Professional Colt Starting Challenge, starting from Friday, 7th November through to Sunday, 9th November, 10am-3pm each day,” said Staines. “Another event that shouldn’t be missed is the Country and Western Trade Fair, which will be supported by a good number of food and drink vendors, plus there will also be entertainment for the kids.”


The National Rodeo Finals gives spectators the chance to appreciate and experience some of the finest rodeo talent on display and encourages visitors attending the event to also take the opportunity to take in the sights of Dalby and surrounding districts and make a weekend of it for the whole family; they won't be disappointed.


The 2014 National Rodeo Finals event, appeals to all ages, from the exhilaration of watching the rodeo action, fun for the kids, to watching the comedy clowns and stock in a rodeo setting, social interaction for singles with a fully stocked bar on hand and late night entertainment during and after the rodeo, in addition to late-night trade stands in the country and western trade fair exhibit.

The all-inclusive ticket to the event includes entry to the National Rodeo Finals, The Unique Horseman Professional Colt Starting Challenge and the Country and Western Trade Fair. Ticket Prices: Adults $25/day, Children u/16 & Aged Pensioners $10/day & Family Passes (2x Adults AND 2x Children OR 2x Aged Pensioners) $60/day.
